General Info

Our company has been in operation in Stafford Springs, CT by the current owner for over 35 years. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Salaries are based on experience. We are a non-smoking company. Office hours are Mon-Fri 7am-5pm. Some half day Saturday work will be required as needed. Applicants must be willing to wear Personal Protection supplied by the company but will also need Steel toed boots supplied by the employee. An annual 8-hour MSHA Safety Meeting attendance is also required. It is extremely helpful if you have experience in more than one of the positions and it will help increase your chances of being hired. We are a big-small company that relies on employees to be able to wear more than one hat at a time.

  • • Outdoor work year-round (weather pending some days)
  • • Hand split the building stone with 12lb sledgehammer
  • • Stack split stone in cages and pallets
  • • Work with Stone at our hydraulic cutting machine

Equipment Operator

Equipment Operator

  • Full Time – Available
  • This job requires mostly outdoor work running equipment with some minor indoor work for repairs. You will need to have Heavy Equipment Experience, CAT Controls preferred. You’ll be expected to operate loaders to load trucks, feed crushers and screeners. Excavators to load Rock Trucks and use a hydraulic hammer to break oversized rock or split building stone. Articulated Rock Trucks to haul material around the Quarry. Greasing the machines as needed and keeping the equipment clean from garbage is also expected. Possible travel for offsite crushing jobs may be required. Willingness to wear many hats. 
     

CDL Driver A or B

  • Full Time – Available

  • We are currently in need of a CDL A or B dump truck driver that can operate standard transmission. Experience driving Tri-axle dump trucks and rolloffs for residential and site deliveries is important. CDL “A” experience moving heavy equipment with a low bed trailer would be extremely helpful. Daily inspections of the trucks before use is expected as well as keeping them clean and performing basic maintenance such as brake adjustments, changing lights etc. 

Heavy Equipment /Diesel Mechanic

Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic

  • Full Time – Available

  • Mechanical experience with heavy equipment, crushers/screeners and diesel trucks is very important. Stick welding experience and/or electrical knowledge are both very helpful.

  • Off Site travel for crushing jobs may be required. We value hard work and employees willing to go above and beyond.
